Detective Taylor is a born and raised Canton townie who used to work as the school resources officer and lacrosse coach at Canton High School. He has known Chris and Colin Albert forever, and launched a 6 months investigation into a Stoughton grandfather, culminating in felony witness intimidation charges because he dropped some rubber duckies around town with messages that Taylor disagrees with.
In a major victory for the First Amendment a federal judge has ruled that many aspects of Auntie Bev's buffer zone violate the First Amendment, and that police were in the wrong when they arrested Erica Walsh, told Jason Grant he couldn't hold a bible quote, manhandled Tom Derosier for filming, and told Michael Bryant he couldn't walk in the buffer zone. The buffer zone still exists, but the Gestapo tactics from Sgt. Hardman inside of it are officially over.
